Google and other major search engine bots now become so sophisticated and excellent that they are able to recognize duplicate content across the web sites and domain names. Search engine's algorithm consider duplicate content which are similar in whole or block across the web site or domains.  Generally, web site's owner put duplicate content across domains in order to achieve search engine ranking and traffic. However, this way is totally not accepted by search engines. You effort to put articles from article distribution websites are also not going to help your website achieve it's goal. Search engine like Google, have capability and policy to filter duplicate content and display the most appropriate version of the same considered by it's bot. If you are a serious web site owner and would really like to make your website worth in the eyes of it's visitors and search engines, you need to consider the following guideline:

.Appropriately use .htaccess file. For example, if you put a printer version of your web pages do let search engines know which one they should select for crawling purpose, by using the .htaccess file.
.Use redirect feature. Never forget to use redirect code through .htaccess file in case you change your web site pages url or path during the restructuring the site or otherwise. A JavaScript method will also work but .htaccess file is more appropriate for search engines.
.Make consistency. Do use similar urls across your website pages to link each other pages. For example, if you are using http://www.submissionhome.com/ as your website home page, do use the same in other pages, that is, avoid using http://www.submissionhome.com/index.htm or http://www.submissionhome.com
.Syndicate with care. Avoid syndicating your web site's valuable content. A valuable content is what makes your website unique in world wide web.
.Use unique header and footer across your web site pages. Put valuable keywords which makes your web page search engine friendly in the top header of the page and also use good summary in the footer of web page instead of copyright notice in each page generally appeared.
.Avoid similar content across your website by making yourself familiar with your websites system.
